What KS2 covers

Key Stage 2 spans Years 3 to 6. Pupils continue with English, Maths and Science as core subjects, and add a foreign language from Year 3. Foundation subjects include History, Geography, Art and Design, Computing, DT, Music, PE and RE.

Statutory assessments

The Multiplication Tables Check is taken in Year 4 (June) — 25 questions on times tables up to 12×12, with 6 seconds per question. KS2 SATs are taken at the end of Year 6 in English Reading, English Grammar/Punctuation/Spelling (GPS), and Maths.
