About this resource

A three-page introduction to the two largest religions in the UK by population (2021 Census). Designed as a neutral, factual KS1 worksheet that teaches ABOUT both religions rather than promoting any.

Page 1 introduces Christianity: what Christians believe, holy book, place of worship, main festivals. Page 2 does the same for Islam: beliefs, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Qur’an, the mosque, Eid celebrations. Page 3 is a side-by-side comparison — finding things in common (one God, important book, place of worship, festivals) alongside the differences.

The worksheet emphasises that within EACH religion, people do things differently — not all Christians celebrate Christmas the same way, not all Muslims observe Ramadan identically. Includes answer key with adult notes on common KS1 misconceptions.
