About this resource
A five-page workbook that puts the Y2 grammar terminology to work on real prose, rather than isolated sentences. Children read short passages and tag the grammar features they see — exactly what the NC means by “use and understand grammatical terminology in discussing their writing”.
The final two pages flip the task: children compose their own examples of each sentence type, then write a short paragraph that uses at least one of each. Self-marked, with an answer key for the spotting tasks and notes for the composition tasks.
