Use clues from the title and pictures. "I think the kite will get stuck…"
"Maya was sad" — we infer she really wanted her kite back.
"What colour was the kite?" Look back and find the word "red".

For the student — how to do this
You're going to flip through a deck of flash cards about english. It should take about 10 minutes. Take your time — there's no rush. If you get stuck, ask a grown-up.
For parents and carers
This is a deck of flash cards for Key Stage 1 english — about 10 minutes of focused activity. Your child can flip through this on their own or with you alongside. There's no pressure to finish in one sitting.
