Ancient Egypt Detective KS2
Ancient Egypt Detective KS2 is a five-mission history activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for KS2 (ages 8–10): the achievements of the earliest civilisations, with a depth study of Ancient Egypt. Children discover why the flooding River Nile gave fertile farmland in the desert, learn that pharaohs such as Tutankhamun and Cleopatra ruled Egypt and that pyramids and tombs were built for them, explore mummification and the afterlife, the gods Ra and Anubis, and hieroglyph picture writing, and find out how we know about the past through artefacts and the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. Knowledge questions are auto-marked on screen, with reflective and creative print tasks such as designing a cartouche, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
