How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with Business (Edexcel) — Module 6: Growth and human resources
This parent guide connects the page examples with a practical study routine. The present resource is labelled Business, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to clarify what successful work should demonstrate.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to predict the knowledge, terminology or technique they may need. Scan each sample and recognise command words, quantities, signals, limits or less familiar terms. Agree a manageable time window, reduce diversions and prepare appropriate equipment such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an unaided first attempt so the work reveals sound understanding and doubt. A reflective pause often strengthens recall better than an same-session answer.
Make thinking shown
Invite the learner to restate the task in their own words. They can underline necessary information, divide a larger problem into individual steps, sketch a diagram, organise support, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their method fits and whether another plan could work. When movement stops, provide a graduated hint: rephrase the goal, point towards a related example, limit the choice, then model only the next step. Return control straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes misconceptions and practises accurate subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with shown answer guidance after genuine effort. Inspect more than the final work: review the method, explanation, units, support, sequence, spelling or presentation where related. Ask the learner to locate the first point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short note of the improvement. For a correct answer, ask for justification and one unaided check. This differentiates confident knowledge from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the main idea, process or fact again. Create one small variation by changing a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a comparable question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one precise next step, perhaps returning to terminology, practising a calculation, adding support or developing clarity. Recheck that target afterwards in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than same-session repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
