How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with Business — Module 6: Finance
This parent guide links the page examples with a structured study routine. The listed resource is labelled Business, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what successful work should demonstrate.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to spot the ideas, vocabulary or technique they may need. Scan each sample and spot instruction words, values, signals, constraints or unfamiliar terms. Agree a realistic time window, reduce distractions and gather suitable materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an unaided initial attempt so the response reveals secure understanding and uncertainty. A quiet pause often strengthens remembering better than an immediate answer.
Make thinking visible
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline necessary information, divide a extended problem into smaller steps, sketch a show, sort evidence, practise a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another strategy could work. When work stops, give a graduated hint: state again the goal, point towards a useful example, narrow the choice, then show only the next step. Return control directly afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes mistakes and practises correct subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with visible answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to locate the initial point where their reasoning changed path. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or separate space, followed by a concise account of the change. For a correct answer, ask for support and one unaided check. This distinguishes assured ideas from guessing while strengthening accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a related question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one precise next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, practising a calculation, adding evidence or refining clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than immediate repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and complete answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
