Evolution & Inheritance KS2
Evolution & Inheritance KS2 is a five-mission Year 6 science activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for evolution and inheritance. Children learn that living things produce offspring of the same kind that still vary from their parents, sort inherited characteristics from environmental ones, investigate how animals and plants such as the camel, polar bear and cactus are adapted to survive, and discover how fossils provide evidence for evolution and how Charles Darwin explained natural selection. Every question is auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.

For the student โ how to do this
You're going to work through five evolution and inheritance missions. Answer on screen and I'll check your science straight away, or print the book and solve it on paper. Take your time โ real detectives look at all the evidence before they decide!
For parents and carers
This is a Year 6 evolution and inheritance activity book. Sit alongside your child if you can, and chat about family features you share, animals adapted to where they live, and how fossils are clues from long ago. Everyday examples make the ideas stick.
For teachers and tutors
A five-mission Year 6 activity book covering DfE evolution and inheritance: offspring of the same kind with variation; inherited versus environmental characteristics; adaptation to environment (camel, polar bear, cactus); fossils as evidence; evolution over long periods; and Charles Darwin's natural selection. Missions 1โ4 are auto-marked; Mission 5 is an open home investigation. Suitable for guided or independent use.
How to check the work
Most pages are checked together with the "Check my answers" button, which marks every response and gives feedback. Mission 5 is open-ended and is not auto-marked โ check it against the answer sheet notes.
