How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with GCSE PE — Module 3: Fitness & testing
This parent guide relates the page examples with a usable study routine. The listed resource is labelled Physical Education, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that context, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what successful work should demonstrate.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to predict the knowledge, terminology or technique they may need. Scan each sample and identify command words, quantities, clues, conditions or less familiar terms. Agree a focused time window, reduce distractions and gather suitable tools such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an unaided initial attempt so the work shows sound understanding and gaps. A reflective pause often aids recall better than an same-session answer.
Make thinking published
Invite the learner to describe the task in their own words. They can underline key information, separate a extended problem into smaller steps, create a representation, organise details, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their method fits and whether another strategy could work. When work stops, offer a staged hint: state again the goal, point towards a relevant example, limit the choice, then show only the next step. Return control immediately afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes confusions and practises accurate subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final work: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where relevant. Ask the learner to identify the initial point where their reasoning changed course. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short description of the correction. For a correct answer, ask for support and one unaided check. This distinguishes assured knowledge from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the central idea, process or fact again. Create one small alternative by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a similar question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, repeating a calculation, adding details or refining clarity. Recheck that target again in the week because spaced review gives stronger information than same-session repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide aids preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
