Geography Skills Explorer KS2 is a five-mission activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for KS2 Geographical Skills & Fieldwork, pitched for Year 4. Children read the eight-point compass, write four-figure grid references (easting before northing), interpret map symbols and keys, and use an atlas to locate continents, oceans, the Equator, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and the UK’s capital cities. They sort human and physical features, then gather their own data through simple fieldwork — a tally chart and a sketch map of their local area. Most questions are auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
