How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with German — Module 3: School & education
This parent guide links the page examples with a usable study routine. The current resource is labelled German, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that context, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what firm work should show.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to predict the ideas, terminology or method they may need. Scan each sample and identify command words, quantities, signals, conditions or new terms. Agree a manageable time window, remove diversions and gather suitable tools such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed opening attempt so the response indicates firm understanding and doubt. A reflective pause often supports retrieval better than an immediate answer.
Make thinking visible
Invite the learner to restate the task in their own words. They can underline necessary information, divide a extended problem into shorter steps, sketch a representation, sort details, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another method could work. When progress stops, give a graduated hint: rephrase the goal, point towards a related example, reduce the choice, then model only the next step. Return ownership straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning reveals misconceptions and practises clear subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with visible answer guidance after honest effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where related. Ask the learner to identify the opening point where their reasoning changed path. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or separate space, followed by a short note of the change. For a correct answer, ask for justification and one self-directed check. This differentiates confident ideas from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the main idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by changing a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a related question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps returning to terminology, repeating a calculation, adding details or improving clarity. Recheck that target again in the week because spaced review gives better information than immediate repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and complete answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
