Good Listening (EYFS)

Good Listening (EYFS) is a warm, play-based Reception activity book mapped to the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage Communication and Language area — the Listening and Attention strand of Development Matters. Through five gentle games led by a grown-up, children listen carefully to sounds, stories and simple instructions, recognise the sounds all around us from animals to vehicles, learn to look at the person who is speaking, follow one-step and two-step instructions, and enjoy listening games such as Simon Says and a home sound hunt. A short set of easy sound questions is auto-marked on screen, and the whole book can be printed with an answer key. There is no pass or fail. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
