How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS2 Physical Education — Module 5: Dance
This parent guide relates the page examples with a practical study routine. The listed resource is labelled Physical Education, Key Stage 2, Year 3, Year 4, E-Learning Module. Use that framework, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what firm work should show.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to recognise the ideas, terminology or method they may need. Scan each sample and recognise action words, quantities, hints, conditions or new terms. Agree a manageable time window, clear interruptions and collect suitable tools such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an unaided first attempt so the response reveals firm understanding and doubt. A short pause often strengthens remembering better than an instant answer.
Make thinking published
Invite the learner to restate the task in their own words. They can underline essential information, divide a extended problem into individual steps, draw a representation, arrange evidence, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another plan could work. When work stops, offer a carefully scaled hint: state again the goal, point towards a related example, narrow the choice, then model only the next step. Return ownership directly afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes confusions and practises accurate subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where related. Ask the learner to identify the first point where their reasoning changed path. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short description of the improvement. For a correct answer, request support and one unaided check. This separates secure ideas from guessing while developing accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a similar question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one precise next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, practising a calculation, adding evidence or developing clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives better information than instant repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
