KS3 Chemistry: Particles & States โ Challenge
KS3 Chemistry: Particles & States — Challenge is a greater-depth stretch activity book for Key Stage 3, the particulate nature of matter, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum. Five demanding challenges push confident learners to explain compressibility, shape and pressure using the particle model, reason about energy and temperature in the changes of state and read states from melting and boiling points, calculate and rearrange density, link diffusion and gas pressure to particle behaviour, and apply conservation of mass in sealed and open changes of state. Challenges 1–4 hold around twenty-four auto-marked questions building to greater depth; Challenge 5 is an open reasoning and proof task — explaining a pressure change, comparing densities with numbers, and resolving an evaporation puzzle — with a full worked answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
