How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS3 German — Module 6: Food & drink
This parent guide links the page examples with a usable study routine. The listed resource is labelled German, Key Stage 3, Year 7, Year 8, E-Learning Module. Use that framework, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what successful work should reveal.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to predict the ideas, terminology or strategy they may need. Scan each sample and recognise command words, values, clues, constraints or new terms. Agree a focused time window, reduce distractions and collect useful tools such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed first attempt so the attempt indicates sound understanding and gaps. A reflective pause often strengthens retrieval better than an instant answer.
Make thinking published
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline necessary information, break a larger problem into shorter steps, sketch a representation, arrange details, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their method fits and whether another strategy could work. When work stops, give a staged hint: state again the goal, point towards a relevant example, reduce the choice, then show only the next step. Return responsibility immediately afterwards. Spoken reasoning reveals confusions and practises specific subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after honest effort. Inspect more than the final attempt: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where relevant. Ask the learner to locate the first point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or fresh space, followed by a short note of the change. For a correct answer, seek reasoning and one self-directed check. This distinguishes confident ideas from guessing while developing accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the central idea, process or fact again. Create one small variation by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a comparable question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one specific next step, perhaps returning to terminology, practising a calculation, adding details or refining clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than instant repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and note answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
