How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS3 PE — Module 2: The body & exercise
This parent guide links the page examples with a usable study routine. The present resource is labelled Physical Education, Key Stage 3, Year 7, Year 8, E-Learning Module. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what effective work should reveal.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to spot the knowledge, vocabulary or method they may need. Scan each sample and spot action words, quantities, hints, constraints or unfamiliar terms. Agree a manageable time window, remove diversions and prepare appropriate equipment such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an independent initial attempt so the work indicates firm understanding and doubt. A quiet pause often supports retrieval better than an instant answer.
Make thinking visible
Invite the learner to describe the task in their own words. They can underline key information, separate a complex problem into shorter steps, draw a diagram, organise details, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their approach fits and whether another strategy could work. When work stops, provide a graduated hint: state again the goal, point towards a useful example, narrow the choice, then demonstrate only the next step. Return ownership straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning reveals mistakes and practises accurate subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with visible answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final work: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to locate the initial point where their reasoning changed course. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or separate space, followed by a short account of the change. For a correct answer, ask for justification and one independent check. This differentiates confident knowledge from guessing while strengthening accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small variation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a comparable question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, practising a calculation, adding details or refining clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives better information than instant repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and capture answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
