How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS3 RE — Module 3: Judaism
This parent guide relates the page examples with a practical study routine. The current resource is labelled Religious Education, Key Stage 3, Year 7, Year 8, E-Learning Module. Use that context, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what effective work should demonstrate.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to predict the understanding, vocabulary or technique they may need. Scan each sample and spot command words, quantities, hints, constraints or unfamiliar terms. Agree a focused time window, clear diversions and prepare suitable materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed initial attempt so the response indicates firm understanding and doubt. A quiet pause often strengthens remembering better than an immediate answer.
Make thinking shown
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline key information, divide a extended problem into smaller steps, sketch a representation, organise support, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their method fits and whether another plan could work. When progress stops, provide a carefully scaled hint: repeat the goal, point towards a related example, narrow the choice, then model only the next step. Return ownership straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes mistakes and practises correct subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with shown answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, support, sequence, spelling or presentation where related. Ask the learner to locate the initial point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short note of the correction. For a correct answer, request support and one self-directed check. This distinguishes assured understanding from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a related question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps reviewing terminology, repeating a calculation, adding support or improving clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than immediate repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
