How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS3 Spanish — Module 4: School
This parent guide links the page examples with a structured study routine. The present resource is labelled Spanish, Key Stage 3, Year 7, Year 8, E-Learning Module. Use that framework, the learning summary and published prompts to clarify what successful work should reveal.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to predict the knowledge, language or technique they may need. Scan each sample and spot action words, quantities, clues, limits or unfamiliar terms. Agree a realistic time window, reduce distractions and gather appropriate materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed first attempt so the attempt indicates firm understanding and gaps. A quiet pause often supports remembering better than an same-session answer.
Make thinking published
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline key information, divide a larger problem into shorter steps, sketch a representation, organise evidence, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another method could work. When work stops, offer a carefully scaled hint: rephrase the goal, point towards a useful example, reduce the choice, then model only the next step. Return responsibility directly afterwards. Spoken reasoning reveals misconceptions and practises clear subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after honest effort. Inspect more than the final attempt: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to locate the first point where their reasoning changed path. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or separate space, followed by a concise note of the change. For a correct answer, seek justification and one self-directed check. This separates secure knowledge from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the main idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a similar question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, practising a calculation, adding evidence or refining clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives better information than same-session repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and note answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.
Sample questions and answers
Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
