Law & Justice KS3
Law & Justice KS3 is a five-mission citizenship activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Key Stage 3. Students learn the difference between rules and laws and why we have laws, distinguish civil law (disputes between people) from criminal law (crimes against society), and explore the roles of the police, the magistrates’ and Crown Court, the judge and the jury. They meet key principles including “innocent until proven guilty”, the age of criminal responsibility in England (10), the rights of the accused to a fair trial, the consequences of breaking the law and how young people can stay on the right side of it. Knowledge questions are auto-marked on screen, with reflective “is this fair?” and design-a-rule tasks, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
