My Local Area Geography KS1

My Local Area Geography KS1 is a five-page activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for KS1 Geography (place knowledge). Children name and locate the four countries of the United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — and their capital cities (London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast), learn that the UK is surrounded by sea, and sort human features (shop, house, school, church, road) from physical features (hill, river, beach, forest). They compare a small area of the UK with a contrasting hot country, talk about the UK’s weather, and draw a simple aerial-view map of their own street. Most questions are auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key.
