Performing Music KS3
Performing Music KS3 is a five-mission Year 8 activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 Music. Pupils learn to perform by singing and playing, reading staff notation (the treble clef and note values), and decoding other notations such as tab and chord symbols. They build ensemble skills — keeping in time to the pulse, following a conductor and listening to balance with others — then plan and practise a performance using real techniques (slowing down, small sections, repetition) with good posture, perform to an audience, and evaluate the result for accuracy, timing and expression. Knowledge questions are auto-marked instantly on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
