Phonics Screening Survival (Y1)

A Year 1 Phonics Screening Check practice game. Just like the real check, words appear one at a time — some are real words and some are alien (made-up) words. Children sound out the letters, blend them, and decide: send real words to the child and alien words to the alien! Words are drawn from Phase 2, 3 and 5 phonics, mixing real and pseudo words exactly as the statutory check does. A warm-up mode lets children practise one phase at a time. Score 80% or more in the Check to earn the Phonics Champion badge.
