KS1 Science: Seasonal Changes — Challenge is a greater-depth activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum Year 1 science programme of study. Challenges 1-4 hold sixteen auto-marked, reasoning-focused questions comparing the seasons against each other, reasoning about weather patterns, working out the pattern of day length across the whole year, and explaining why the sun safety rule exists. Challenge 5 is an open extension task with three extended reasoning prompts covering sun safety, comparing seasons with evidence, and explaining day length. A full worked answer key, including model answers and marking notes for the open task, is included alongside teacher, parent and pupil guidance.
