Sounds to Spell (EYFS)

Sounds to Spell (EYFS) is a warm, five-play Reception phonics activity book mapped to the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage framework and the Literacy Early Learning Goal for Writing. Children learn to segment spoken words into their sounds using playful “robot talk” (cat → c-a-t), count sounds on their fingers, spot the missing sound in simple CVC words, and have a go at their very first written spellings.
