For the student — how to do this

Work through the teaching and activities, then take the check. Score 80% to earn the badge and unlock the next module — you can retake any time.

For parents and carers

Each module unlocks the next only when your child passes at 80%. A pass meets the threshold for this check. Use discussion and further practice to identify what needs revisiting.

For teachers and tutors

Gated revision sequence. Pass mark 80%; results and per-question review feed the heatmap.

How to check the work

Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with Spanish — Module 4: Free time & hobbies

This parent guide connects the page examples with a usable study routine. The listed resource is labelled Spanish, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what successful work should reveal.

Prepare a focused session

Read the title and learning focus together. Ask the learner to predict the knowledge, vocabulary or technique they may need. Scan each sample and identify instruction words, quantities, signals, constraints or unfamiliar terms. Agree a focused time window, remove interruptions and collect appropriate materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed opening attempt so the work reveals firm understanding and uncertainty. A reflective pause often supports retrieval better than an same-session answer.

Make thinking published

Invite the learner to describe the task in their own words. They can underline necessary information, divide a extended problem into smaller steps, create a show, arrange evidence, practise a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their approach fits and whether another strategy could work. When movement stops, offer a carefully scaled hint: rephrase the goal, point towards a useful example, limit the choice, then show only the next step. Return ownership straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning highlights confusions and practises precise subject language.

Check accuracy and understanding

Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final work: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to find the opening point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short account of the improvement. For a correct answer, request reasoning and one self-directed check. This separates secure knowledge from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.

Consolidate and extend

Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the central idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by changing a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a similar question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one precise next step, perhaps reviewing terminology, repeating a calculation, adding evidence or developing clarity. Recheck that target again in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than same-session repetition.

The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.

Sample questions and answers

Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
