How to check the work
Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with Spanish — Module 6: Grammar essentials
This parent guide relates the page examples with a practical study routine. The listed resource is labelled Spanish, GCSE, Year 10, Year 11, E-Learning Module. Use that context, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what secure work should reveal.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to anticipate the ideas, terminology or technique they may need. Scan each sample and recognise action words, quantities, hints, conditions or new terms. Agree a realistic time window, clear interruptions and collect appropriate tools such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an independent first attempt so the work reveals secure understanding and uncertainty. A short pause often supports remembering better than an instant answer.
Make thinking published
Invite the learner to describe the task in their own words. They can underline key information, divide a larger problem into smaller steps, make a demonstrate, sort details, rehearse a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their approach fits and whether another strategy could work. When progress stops, give a staged hint: repeat the goal, point towards a useful example, limit the choice, then demonstrate only the next step. Return responsibility straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning reveals mistakes and practises accurate subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after honest effort. Inspect more than the final work: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to identify the first point where their reasoning changed course. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or fresh space, followed by a short account of the improvement. For a correct answer, ask for reasoning and one independent check. This differentiates assured ideas from guessing while developing accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the main idea, process or fact again. Create one small alternative by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a similar question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one clear next step, perhaps reviewing terminology, rehearsing a calculation, adding details or improving clarity. Recheck that target again in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than instant repetition.
