Working Scientifically KS2
Working Scientifically KS2 is a five-mission science activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for KS2 working scientifically. Children ask relevant scientific questions and match the five types of enquiry (fair test, observing over time, pattern seeking, grouping and classifying, and research), set up fair tests by identifying the variable they change, the one they measure and the ones they keep the same, make predictions, choose the right equipment and units for length, temperature, volume, time and mass, and record results in tables, bar graphs and line graphs before drawing a conclusion. The knowledge questions are auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key, and two plan-and-do missions let children design and carry out their own investigation. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
