GCSE Media Studies Revision Workbook is a five-mission activity book that builds the theoretical framework every GCSE media studies board tests — Eduqas, AQA (8572) and OCR — mapped to the DfE subject content and the Assessment Objectives (AO1 knowledge and understanding, AO2 analysis, AO3 creating media). Students learn the media forms and the four framework areas (media language, representation, media industries and audiences), decode media language by separating denotation from connotation and using mise-en-scène and anchorage, explain genre conventions and hybridity, apply narrative theory from Todorov and Propp, analyse representation, stereotypes and mediation, and understand how audiences are categorised (demographics, uses and gratifications, the hypodermic model) and how industries are owned (conglomerates) and regulated (Ofcom and the BBFC). Framework and key-term questions are auto-marked on screen, while open product-analysis and representation-planning tasks build the extended writing examiners reward. The whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and student notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.

Colour-code and technically annotate the key features of audiences.
