Colour-code each right with its linked lawful responsibility and annotate why the pairing matters.

Complete the responsibility paired with freedom of expression, then colour-code four checks on lawful participation.

Rights & Responsibilities KS3 is a five-mission citizenship activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 (Year 8). Pupils learn the difference between rights (things everyone is entitled to) and responsibilities (duties we have towards others), explore the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child — the right to an education, to be safe and to be heard — and understand the difference between rules and laws, that laws are made by Parliament and apply to everyone, and how our democracy lets people vote for MPs who make those laws. Missions 1–3 are auto-marked on screen; Missions 4 and 5 are reflective tasks on the pupil’s own responsibilities and active, respectful citizenship. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.

Colour the rights and responsibilities illustration carefully and observe its key features.
