Composition & Writing KS1 is a five-mission KS1 English activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for composition in Years 1–2. Children learn that a sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop, leave finger spaces between words, join ideas with the word “and”, use capital letters for names and the word “I”, add simple describing words, then write their own sentence about a picture and sequence a short story with a beginning, middle and end. The knowledge questions are auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
