Shapes All Around (EYFS) is a warm, playful five-part Reception maths activity book mapped to the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage Shape, Space and Measures strands and Development Matters. Children meet the flat shapes — circle, square, triangle and rectangle — and talk about simple properties like a triangle having 3 sides and 3 corners; meet the solid shapes — cube, sphere, cone and cylinder; hunt for shapes all around us; and sort, match and make their own repeating patterns. Just a few very easy questions are auto-marked on screen; most of the book is hands-on looking, drawing and playing, with no pass or fail.
