Materials Investigator: 5-Page Lab Book is a five-lab Year 2 science activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for uses of everyday materials. Children name wood, plastic, glass, metal, water and rock from real-world clues, sort out their properties, compare the suitability of materials for particular jobs, and investigate how solid objects change shape by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching, with a simple working-scientifically prediction task.
