KS1 D&T: Design — Quick Burst is a fast five-round activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Design & Technology at Key Stage 1, focused purely on the design stage of the design-make-evaluate cycle. Children find out what a design idea and a design plan are, think about the user and purpose of a design, choose the right material for a job (waterproof, soft or bendy), and understand design criteria as a checklist of what a design must do, before drawing and labelling their own simple design plan. Nine short design questions are auto-marked on screen with a full answer key; the final round is a hands-on, printable design task.
