KS1 English: Spoken Language — Challenge is a greater-depth stretch activity book for Years 1–2 spoken language, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum. Four demanding challenges push confident talkers through listening for detail in a short passage, telling open and closed questions apart, explaining and justifying opinions with connective words such as because and so, and using discussion-role vocabulary such as chairperson and contribution.
