For the student — how to do this

Work through the teaching and activities, then take the check. Score 70% to earn the badge and unlock the next module — you can retake any time.

For parents and carers

Each module unlocks the next only when your child passes at 70%. A pass meets the threshold for this check. Use discussion and further practice to identify what needs revisiting.

For teachers and tutors

Gated revision sequence. Pass mark 70%; results and per-question review feed the heatmap.

How to check the work

Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS1 Physical Education — Module 6: Space & safety

This parent guide links the page examples with a practical study routine. The present resource is labelled Physical Education, Key Stage 1, Year 1, Year 2, E-Learning Module. Use that framework, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what secure work should show.

Prepare a focused session

Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to spot the understanding, terminology or method they may need. Scan each sample and spot instruction words, values, hints, conditions or new terms. Agree a focused time window, clear interruptions and prepare suitable materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed first attempt so the response indicates secure understanding and gaps. A quiet pause often supports retrieval better than an instant answer.

Make thinking shown

Invite the learner to restate the task in their own words. They can underline essential information, divide a extended problem into individual steps, design a diagram, arrange support, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another method could work. When work stops, give a graduated hint: repeat the goal, point towards a relevant example, narrow the choice, then show only the next step. Return ownership directly afterwards. Spoken reasoning highlights mistakes and practises accurate subject language.

Check accuracy and understanding

Compare the attempt with shown answer guidance after sustained effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, support, sequence, spelling or presentation where relevant. Ask the learner to locate the first point where their reasoning changed course. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or new space, followed by a short note of the change. For a correct answer, ask for justification and one self-directed check. This separates assured understanding from guessing while strengthening accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.

Consolidate and extend

Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a related question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one precise next step, perhaps reviewing terminology, practising a calculation, adding support or improving clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than instant repetition.

The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.

Sample questions and answers

Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
