Each module unlocks the next only when your child passes at 70%. A pass meets the threshold for this check. Use discussion and further practice to identify what needs revisiting.

For teachers and tutors

Gated revision sequence. Pass mark 70%; results and per-question review feed the heatmap.

How to check the work

Ask the learner to show or explain one idea, then try a fresh example with suitable support. Note any prompts needed; retelling alone does not show secure understanding.

How to study with KS1 PSHE — Module 3: Healthy me

This parent guide links the page examples with a usable study routine. The current resource is labelled PSHE & Citizenship, Key Stage 1, Year 1, Year 2, E-Learning Module. Use that framework, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what effective work should demonstrate.

Prepare a focused session

Read the title and learning focus together. Ask the learner to anticipate the knowledge, language or technique they may need. Scan each sample and spot action words, amounts, hints, conditions or unfamiliar terms. Agree a manageable time window, remove diversions and gather appropriate materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed initial attempt so the attempt indicates sound understanding and uncertainty. A quiet pause often strengthens remembering better than an instant answer.

Make thinking published

Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline essential information, divide a larger problem into shorter steps, draw a diagram, arrange evidence, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their method fits and whether another method could work. When work stops, give a carefully scaled hint: repeat the goal, point towards a related example, limit the choice, then demonstrate only the next step. Return control immediately afterwards. Spoken reasoning highlights confusions and practises accurate subject language.

Check accuracy and understanding

Compare the attempt with published answer guidance after genuine effort. Inspect more than the final attempt: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where related. Ask the learner to locate the initial point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or separate space, followed by a brief description of the change. For a correct answer, ask for justification and one self-directed check. This differentiates confident knowledge from guessing while strengthening accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.

Consolidate and extend

Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small variation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a related question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one specific next step, perhaps revisiting terminology, repeating a calculation, adding evidence or refining clarity. Recheck that target afterwards in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than instant repetition.

The interactive player, downloadable file and note answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.

Sample questions and answers

Try five questions from this exact activity. Review each authored answer and explanation, then note which ideas need another look. Compare the options and explain why the answer fits. Say the reasoning aloud or write a short justification before opening the interactive player to complete the activity and save progress.
