How to check the work
Use any on-screen review after the quiz to discuss one response and a next step. A saved score or time is not a saved mistake-by-mistake report.

How to study with KS3 Spanish (Years 7-9) — Gated Series — Module 7: Consolidation Test (timed)
This parent guide relates the page examples with a structured study routine. The current resource is labelled Spanish, Key Stage 3, Year 7, Year 8, Quiz. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to decide what successful work should show.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus jointly. Ask the learner to predict the knowledge, language or method they may need. Scan each sample and identify instruction words, amounts, signals, constraints or less familiar terms. Agree a manageable time window, reduce interruptions and collect suitable equipment such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an unaided opening attempt so the response indicates firm understanding and uncertainty. A quiet pause often supports retrieval better than an immediate answer.
Make thinking shown
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline essential information, divide a extended problem into shorter steps, create a diagram, organise evidence, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their route fits and whether another strategy could work. When progress stops, provide a carefully scaled hint: rephrase the goal, point towards a useful example, limit the choice, then demonstrate only the next step. Return control straight afterwards. Spoken reasoning exposes confusions and practises correct subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with shown answer guidance after honest effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, evidence, sequence, spelling or presentation where useful. Ask the learner to locate the opening point where their reasoning changed direction. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or fresh space, followed by a concise description of the correction. For a correct answer, seek support and one unaided check. This distinguishes assured knowledge from guessing while strengthening accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the main idea, process or fact again. Create one small adaptation by altering a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a comparable question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one specific next step, perhaps reviewing terminology, practising a calculation, adding evidence or improving clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives stronger information than immediate repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and complete answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide supports preparation, discussion and review.
