KS1 Mathematics: Fractions — Deep Revision is a thorough activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Year 2. Sections 1-2 secure fluency with around seventeen auto-marked questions on equal parts, halves and quarters of shapes, and fractions and equivalence of quantities and sets. Sections 3-5 are open, reflective tasks: solving real-life word problems involving food, length, sets of children and money; investigating why a fraction only counts when the parts are equal and why 2/4 and 1/2 are the same amount; and writing and solving original fraction problems.
