KS1 Mathematics: Multiplication and Division — Challenge
Stretching KS1 multiplication and division challenge: mixed times tables, division fact families, odd/even reasoning and two-step problems. Print or play.
KS1 Mathematics: Multiplication and Division — Challenge is a stretching activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Year 2, designed for learners ready to go beyond the basics. Challenges 1-4 hold sixteen auto-marked questions on mixed 2, 5 and 10 times-table facts, division fact families, odd and even number reasoning, and two-step word problems that combine multiplication and division. Challenge 5 is an open, greater-depth investigation into why division cannot be done in any order and into patterns when odd and even numbers are added, finishing with a pupil-authored two-step problem. A full worked answer key, including model answers and marking notes for the open challenge, is included alongside teacher, parent and pupil guidance.
