KS1 Mathematics: Multiplication and Division — Deep Revision

Thorough KS1 multiplication and division revision: arrays, times-table facts, real-life word problems and order reasoning. Auto-marked plus open tasks.

KS1 Mathematics: Multiplication and Division — Deep Revision is a thorough activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for Year 2. Sections 1-2 secure fluency with around sixteen auto-marked questions on arrays, repeated addition, mixed 2, 5 and 10 times-table and division facts, commutativity and odd and even numbers. Sections 3-5 are open, reflective tasks: solving real-life word problems involving arrays, sharing and grouping; investigating why multiplication can be done in any order while division cannot; and writing and solving original word problems. A full worked answer key, including model answers and marking notes for the open sections, is included alongside teacher, parent and pupil guidance.

This book takes a deep look at multiplication and division. Sections 1-2 check your arrays, times-table facts and division facts, and I’ll mark those for you straight away. Sections 3-5 are open — real-life problems, an investigation into why division is different from multiplication, and a chance to write your own problems. Write your working in full sentences or numbers so it makes sense later. Answer on screen or print the whole book to work through slowly on paper.

This is a thorough KS1 multiplication and division revision workbook. The first two sections are self-marking arrays, times tables and division facts. The last three sections are open-ended — real-life array and sharing problems, an investigation into the order of multiplication and division, and writing original word problems — and are best talked through together rather than marked right or wrong. Allow around 45 minutes, in one sitting or split across a few days.

A deep-revision book for DfE Year 2 multiplication and division. Sections 1-2 hold sixteen auto-marked questions on arrays, repeated addition, mixed 2, 5 and 10 times-table and division facts, commutativity, and odd and even numbers. Sections 3-5 are open, non-auto-marked tasks: real-life word problems (arrays, sharing, grouping), an investigation into why multiplication is commutative but division is not, and pupil-authored word problems with reflection on method choice. Useful as an end-of-unit consolidation or greater-depth reasoning task.

Sections 1-2 are checked together with the "Check my answers" button, which marks every response and gives feedback. Sections 3-5 are open reasoning and writing tasks that are not auto-marked — check them against the model answers and marking notes on the answer sheet.
