Measuring Fun (EYFS)

Measuring Fun (EYFS) is a warm, parent-led Reception activity book mapped to the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage Development Matters guidance for Measures. Across five gentle plays, children compare size using everyday words (big and small, tall and short, long and short), feel heavy and light, fill containers full and tip them empty, put two or three objects in order from smallest to biggest, and talk about day and night, the days of the week and the parts of the day such as morning, lunchtime and bedtime. A few friendly questions can be tapped and checked on screen, while most of the book is hands-on play with real things at home. There is no pass or fail. The whole book can be printed with a full answer key, and it is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
