Number Bonds Flashcards
A 16-card deck. Cards 1-8 cover number bonds to 10 (the foundational facts every KS1 child must know by heart). Cards 9-16 cover bonds to 20. Front: a partial sum. Back: the answer and a quick way to remember it.
One and nine make ten.
Like a pair of socks plus 8 toes.
Three little pigs plus 7 wolves.
Four legs plus six legs.
One hand plus the other!
Six dice dots plus four more.
Seven dwarfs plus three more friends.
An octopus plus a pair of eyes.
All your fingers and toes.
Same as 1 + 9, then add a ten.
Use bonds to 10: 3+7=10, then add the extra ten.
Halfway there + 5 more.
Bridging: 17+3 = 17+3+0 = 20.
If 6 + 14 = 20, then 20 โ 6 = 14.
Use the bond: 13 + 7 = 20.
If 4 + 16 = 20, then 20 โ 4 = 16.
Tap any card to flip it. On phones, swipe sideways for the next card.
