Shape Detective
Shape Detective is a five-mission Year 2 maths activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for geometry and properties of shape. Children count the sides of 2-D shapes, hunt for lines of symmetry, investigate the edges, vertices and faces of 3-D shapes, and identify the 2-D shapes hiding on 3-D surfaces. Every question is auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. This is a Year 2 geometry activity book about the properties of shape. Sit alongside your child if you can, and let them hold real objects โ a box, a ball, a tin โ to count faces, edges and corners. Folding paper shapes is a great way to find lines of symmetry.
