Spoken Language Explorer KS2

Spoken Language Explorer KS2 is a five-mission Year 4 English activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for spoken language (Years 1–6). Children practise active listening and asking open and closed questions, using spoken standard English and precise vocabulary, giving well-structured explanations with connectives, planning a short talk, and taking part in a friendly debate that weighs up different viewpoints. Quick knowledge checks on listening, standard English and connectives are auto-marked on screen; the rest of the book is hands-on, reflective and discussion-based, with no pass/fail scoring. Every page can also be printed with a full answer key, and the book includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
