Answer or assessment rubric: Colour 1 of 2 equal parts for 1/2; 1 of 3 equal parts for 1/3; 1 of 4 equal parts for 1/4; 2 of 4 equal parts for 2/4; and 3 of 4 equal parts for 3/4. The equivalent pair is 1/2 and 2/4 because both represent the same proportion of one whole.
