Algorithms Unplugged KS1
Algorithms Unplugged is a five-mission KS1 Computing activity book mapped to the DfE National Curriculum for algorithms, and it needs no computer at all. Children learn that an algorithm is a set of clear step-by-step instructions, put the steps for making toast in the right order, give a robot precise instructions, spot a step that is in the wrong order, and steer a robot around a grid using forwards, turn left and turn right โ before writing and testing their own algorithm. Most questions are auto-marked on screen, or the whole book can be printed with a full answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
