KS1 English: Reading Comprehension — Support is a gentle, scaffolded activity book for Years 1–2 reading comprehension, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum and designed to build confidence one idea at a time. Built around one very short, simple story, “Tom’s Red Ball”, five friendly steps use small multiple-choice questions and worked examples to practise finding who and what happened, putting events in order, working out a simple reason for something happening, predicting what a character does next, and understanding two tricky words in context. Every step is auto-marked on screen with a full answer key, or the whole book can be printed to work through slowly on paper. The tone is warm and encouraging with no pass or fail language. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
