KS1 English: Spelling — Support is a gentle, scaffolded activity book for Years 1–2 spelling, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum and designed to build confidence one idea at a time. Five friendly steps use a worked example on every page to practise easy common exception words with helpful starting letters, making a word mean more than one with -s (and the few that need -es), adding the prefix un- to the front of a word, adding -ing, -ed and -er to the end of a word, and listening for and counting the sounds in simple words. Most questions are multiple choice so the focus stays on the idea, and every step is auto-marked on screen with a full answer key, or the whole book can be printed to work through slowly on paper. The tone is warm and encouraging with no pass or fail language. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.

You will practise easy tricky words, make more than one the easy way, undo a word with un-, add -ing and -ed, and listen for sounds in simple words.
