How to check the work
Use any on-screen review after the quiz to discuss one response and a next step. A saved score or time is not a saved mistake-by-mistake report.

How to study with KS2 PSHE & RSHE (Years 3-6) — Gated Series — Module 7: Consolidation Test (timed)
This parent guide relates the page examples with a usable study routine. The listed resource is labelled PSHE & Citizenship, Key Stage 2, Year 3, Year 4, Quiz. Use that setting, the learning summary and published prompts to agree what successful work should demonstrate.
Prepare a focused session
Read the title and learning focus side by side. Ask the learner to recognise the ideas, vocabulary or technique they may need. Scan each sample and recognise instruction words, amounts, hints, limits or less familiar terms. Agree a realistic time window, reduce interruptions and gather useful materials such as paper, pencil, ruler, coloured pens, calculator, headphones or a device. Encourage an self-directed initial attempt so the response indicates firm understanding and uncertainty. A quiet pause often strengthens retrieval better than an same-session answer.
Make thinking visible
Invite the learner to summarise the task in their own words. They can underline key information, break a complex problem into smaller steps, draw a representation, organise details, compose a sentence or describe a planned method. Ask why their approach fits and whether another strategy could work. When movement stops, give a carefully scaled hint: repeat the goal, point towards a relevant example, reduce the choice, then demonstrate only the next step. Return control immediately afterwards. Spoken reasoning highlights mistakes and practises correct subject language.
Check accuracy and understanding
Compare the attempt with visible answer guidance after genuine effort. Inspect more than the final response: review the method, explanation, units, details, sequence, spelling or presentation where relevant. Ask the learner to locate the initial point where their reasoning changed course. Complete corrections actively in a different colour or fresh space, followed by a short description of the correction. For a correct answer, seek justification and one self-directed check. This distinguishes assured ideas from guessing while building accuracy, reflection and careful working habits.
Consolidate and extend
Finish with retrieval from memory. Cover the example and ask for the core idea, process or fact again. Create one small alternative by adjusting a value, condition, example, viewpoint or level of support while keeping the learning focus. Invite the learner to write a comparable question and supply checking guidance. Record one success and one specific next step, perhaps returning to terminology, repeating a calculation, adding details or improving clarity. Recheck that target later in the week because spaced review gives clearer information than same-session repetition.
The interactive player, downloadable file and make answer material retain their existing access controls. The guide strengthens preparation, discussion and review.
