KS3 Physics: Energy โ Challenge
KS3 Physics: Energy — Challenge is a greater-depth stretch activity book for Key Stage 3 physics, mapped to the DfE National Curriculum. Five demanding challenges push confident learners through tracking energy stores and using conservation of energy, multi-step work done and power problems including rearranging to find energy or force, calculating efficiency as a percentage with a rearrangement and following wasted energy to the thermal store, and working with kilowatt-hours and electricity cost, renewable and non-renewable resources and heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation. Challenges 1–4 hold around twenty-four auto-marked questions; Challenge 5 is an open reasoning and proof task — efficiency and Sankey reasoning, a conservation-of-energy argument about a rollercoaster, and an evaluation and cost comparison of energy resources — with a full worked answer key. Includes teacher, parent and pupil notes and is fully SEND-friendly with high-contrast and large-text modes.
